Adding guarantor after contract signing but before deposit is paid

So I have a scenario where the prospective tenant asked about using reposit. I advised that it would be done at the point where a deposit is requested.

In this case a guarantor has been added but their affordability does not cover full rent amount. I was happy with this and the warnings on the screens said I was not eligible for Rent Guarantee which I was not going to use.

They then went ahead and signed but on choosing reposit they were denied the service and the guarantor did not cover the full rent amount.

So my question is what is the best way to add an extra Guarantor to the contract without having to cancel and start again and pay all the referencing fees again.

So if they can’t afford the rent, how are they proposing to cover it?

Do not be desperate . Forget them

legally you can’t. They have to see and agree to the contract before they (and the tenant they’re guaranteeing) sign it.
