Bond and rent oayment

Hi ive just transfered a bond and a months rent this morning after numerous messages telling me i need to transfer the money before 11am.it was a male who was sending me the messages and he sent me bank details under a females name.i sent him the receipt to say it had been paid then said he would get all the confirmation over to me today.ive still not heard from him and tried calling and the line is dead.i dont know if im just getting paranoid but it seems funny that he hasnt got back to me since.esp after been so persistant about transfering the money.would i be able to get money back if this isnt legit.regards jay
