Thanks Guys. Yes, that is correct, the friend is helping move/sell some of the belongings. I am trying to be sympathetic to the situation, but obviously, the friend has her own life and is not dedicating a lot of time to this as an ongoing concern, which is why I am trying to get involved and help out. I do need to move things on quicker than they are happening. Often I am also getting no reply from the friend to any texts and calls, so do need to try and take control of the situation somehow.
I checked the clauses in the tenancy agreement, it states that any removal or storage costs will be the responsibility of the tenant, but clearly, there will be no deposit left to cover long term storage.
