Covid deep clean costs

Hi

We have a tenant moving out on the 30th and New one moving in.

The current tenants have positive covid, they are meant to sleep isolate until the 3rd July. The new tenants move in on the 30th June.

We believe that a deep clean is required- does the current tenant bear the costs of the deep clean?

You cannot transfer the cost of the covid clean to the tenant. That has been written into legislation.
You bear the cost of the deep clean
You may want to leave it 5 days so you or your cleaner is not at risk ( delays in contract are legal and permitted it is known as contract frustration) as the virus does not survive on surfaces longer than that

Surely the current tenant can’t move out until the end of their isolation period or they are breaking the law.
