2 tenants, lead one has not officially said he’s left but has & next rent due on the 20th. (He enquired about it and said his mental health was suffering as he’d fallen out with other tenant)!
I’m just in the process of hitting the remove button - but didn’t know if I should actually do this on the 20th or do it today.
He is slightly behind in rent, as is the other tenant and if done now I won’t be too much out of pocket as I can use their deposit. I don’t want to evict the other tenant as it’s 2 months more of no rent so just changing the contract.
I’d ask OR support but you can change thing in contract /renew with a new one in advance provided all parties agree and sign it. @mod_harry may be able to help

If theyre joint tenants one can’t just end his tenancy or liability for the rent by leaving. Neither can you release him from the tenancy. He can only end it if the tenancy is now periodic and he serves a valid notice. This will end the tenancy for both of them and you then have a choice whether you offer a new tenancy to the other one. If the other one is amenable and can afford the whole rent, they could also both sign a deed of surrender.
