I placed a security deposit on the 09/05/2026 and got a response from the landlords side on the 10/05/26 to complete the refrence and credit check which i completed in the same hour i received it and passed all check Since then i have not heard from the landlord and i have sent him multiple messages but not received anything back. i also expressed how i am desperate as and would like to move in asap but i havnt received anything communication from them. Thing that worries me is that when i click on the add it says let agreed, but i have not signed the contract so i would like to know is that agreed for me or someone eles. if it is for me please could i get some confirmation and guidance to the next step in terms of how long do i need to wait to move in just so i can plan ahead. i hope you understand and can guide me as i am feeling very anxious
If the LL has paid for your referencing process, the likelihood this should all proceed ok, as if you have passed, they are unlikely to reject you at this time.
Ad will automatically show as ‘let agreed’ once your holding deposit was accepted by the Landlord.
Had you discussed any move in date for the property? Is it empty now?

The property is empty. We requested for a move in date to be ASAP. When we viewed the property we did not meet the landlord. After the reference process we have not heard back from the landlord or his team. We have sent several messages but no response is received.
What can i do in this position or what should by next step be

10th was a Sunday not everybody works weekends and being a LL may not be their only or main job.
After you submitted the referencing info whichever company doing the referencing has to compile report and send to LL. LL has to consider and decide whether to ask you further questions , or go ahead with offering a contract or reject and return the holding deposit. It’s a big financial decision to trust someone with your property they have to be sure you are the right tenant for them. Stop harassing the LL and his team with multiple messages or they will simply reject you. Have some patience.
Meanwhile LL has accepted holding deposit from you so can’t accept from anybody else
