# Gurantor referencing - issue do I get involved?

I have OpenRent dealing with referancing for a guarantor the prospective guarantor has messaged me saying to contact their employer for work record.  
But won’t OpenRent deal with that - is there any need for me to get involved at this stage ?

I’ve never found openrent referencing to be very thorough. I call employers myself .

OR’s referencing partner only looks at the most superficial data and that which is usually relatively easily accessible. Useless for any potential tenant that doesn’t have a recent UK banking/credit history. I do my own referencing.
