HMRC asking for Tenancy agreements - Surely contravenes ICO data protection?

HMRC have asked to double check my 2019/2020 return of my rental properties. They have specifically asked for tenancy agreements.

Sure that contravenes the data privacy (ICO) of my tenants ? Does anyone have any experience of this ?

Have a look here:

HMRC is classed as a competent authority so there should be no problem sharing a tenancy agreement as it holds no really sensitive information.

Your GDPR privacy notice should list the relevant authorities with whom you may have to share the tenants details. This should include HMRC.
