You guys at Openrent are doing a great job !!! I note that you are sending out the renters right update on May 1 and that as terms of their contract they have agreed to accept email notification, Can you confirm you will be mailing all tenants on the tenancy and all guarantors? Do you think legally this is enough to cover the landlord in terms of claims? Some associations are suggesting getting written confirmations from tenants. Do you know legally if an email from OR is enough.

The guidance/regulations clearly say it’s okay by email, so you do not need to get any written acknowledgement that someone has got an email.
Also, I have every confidence that Openrent will serve on all tenants as that is what the requirements are. It will all become obvious on the 1st of May when you receive copies of it, so any problems you still have 31 days to sort.
