# How to I charge 6 months upfront via OpenRent's system?

Hello,
I have a new tenant that I’ve agreed to accept and he will pa 6 months upfront. However, I’m not sure how to request the funds via the OpenRent platform. I’m about to sign the contract and the contract says he will pay monthly… is there a way to change that in the contract? I couldn’t quite figure it out!

yes, i believe its in the ‘advanced settings’ when you create the contract.
