My landlord says he has completed my reference form but the rent now application still says “awaiting response”. How long will this take to update usually? Or does this mean my landlord didn’t actually submit it?
What did they mean by ‘completed’. This is vague, and I don’t understand which stage of the process you are at.
I suspect if you have paid the holding deposit, via Rent Now, that ‘awaiting response’ means that the Landlord has not formally accepted your application and the property remains advertised.
That said, if you have provided reference information, the LL may have arranged referencing outside of the OR platform.
If I were you I would ask the LL.
Just to check, you are undergoing referencing and whatever referencing system the LL for ne a place is using (OR referencing?,) has requested a reference from your current LL. Correct?
