You are telling someone less fortunate than yourself that you have more than they do. It’s grandiose and perhaps neuroatypical .
Why would you rub their nose in it ?

There are tenants that take advantage.
When inflation increased to double digits last year I put up the rents ( albeit at the 12 month anniversary).
They told me to get a second job to subsidise the rent as they didn’t see why they should pay for it .
One of them did not understand that the war in Ukraine, compounded with Truss’s economic ineptitude, was their problem and why they should pay for it through a rent rise ( but it’s ok if your food increases by 20-40% at the supermarket and your fuel to double ).
For some reason people have an allergic reaction to rent rise more than any other commodity …
They are ok with corporate greed because it has no face but they are not ok with you needing to live / survive (because you have a face?? )
There was a report in the press of a tenant prosecuted and jailed because he took advantage of a decent landlord who mortgaged his house to help pay for his fake cancer treatment !!!
