Moving from Ireland to Kent

I am moving from Ireland into UK (Kent) as a tenant. As a landlord what documents/steps will you be looking for? I have rented in Ireland for 15 years - no issues. I am moving and living in a short let for the first few months of arrival to Kent to ease the relocation.

Thanks in advance.

Any LL will be looking for proof of ID, right to rent, gross income (common rule is rent to be no more than 30% of gross income), secure employment, history of paying rent. If you have savings and a guarantor that obv helps.

Get yourself a uk bank account, register to vote and get a uk credit card (use for small purchases and pay off in full every monrh) to get yourself a uk credit history footprint- otherwise some automated referencing reports will give you a fail on that.

Some details of sort of thing you’ll need here
