Hi, I do not have mains gas at my rental I am preparing and we are on oil. Do I need a boiler service and tank check for this by law?
not required by law ,but to well maintain it is being good to yourself and the tenant

No but Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 section 11 requires keeping all installations for the supply of gas, heating, and hot water in repair and proper working order.
