hello,

Does openrent segregate the rents receive from the tenants before sending them to the landlord during their rent collection service ?
What would happen to those rents if openrent goes bankrupt before sending the rent back to the landlords.
Are the rent collected protected in any way.
Is Openrent FCA register and would the landlords have access to compensation?

Hi Pascal, Sure — really important question.

Any rent that is collected by OpenRent is held in a segregated client money fund. It is also protected with client money insurance.

Re going bankrupt, we think that is quite unlikely (to say the least! ) but it is good practice to consider all eventualities. Here’s more info:
