Oh dear. Get yourself some landlord training and quickly. There are recommended suppliers of such training. Just search this forum or Google.
Speak to lettings agents about the legal requirements and their fees.
Tell HMRC
If it’s mortgaged you need to check with the mortgage provider that they are OK about this
Keep all receipts and records of all expenses and all income
Don’t be surprised when you have costs to incur before you can let it
And remember that there ARE rogue tenants who stop paying and you can’t easily get them out, so could you afford the mortgage without any income ?
I would agree. Dont do anything until you have more knowledge or you could emd up with a very big fine. Id suggest an agent in the meantime.
