I served two months notice on some tenants who turned around the next day and served a months notice on me. Whose notice period is valid? It means I have a one month void period if they can leave after a month as my son moves in to the property in 2 months time.
If the tenants notice is valid, (check the terms of your agreement), then unlike your notice it ends the tenancy. Most landlords would count that as a bonus.
Voids are part and parcel of the cost of doing business.
