Advice needed. I am transferring a tenant from an EA onto OR and can’t find a way to get her onto system without her paying a holding deposit and security deposit. She pays rent each 26th of the month but OR is asking for one week’s rent up front. OR will not be collecting the rent, I will. How do I go about setting her up in this instance without her being out of pocket. She can’t afford an extra week’s rent.
The holding deposit forms part of the first month’s rent and deposit so she won’t be out of pocket i.e. Openrent will collect the first month’s rent LESS whatever your tenant has already paid as the holding deposit. (Openrent will always collect and transfer to you the first month’s rent even if you are not using their rent collection service).
