Unsatisfied CCJs, undischarged bankruptcy

A word of warning to tenants. If you have an unsatisfied county court judgement against you, or you are an undischarged bankrupt, you will not be able to rent from any landlord who uses Aviva as their insurer because their current policy wording means that any such letting would invalidate the landlord’s insurance policy.
This may also apply to other insurers.
Sometimes you may think that a landlord is being difficult but it’s often the case that they have to comply with requirements imposed by their insurer.
