# Using own contract

Hi. This is my first OpenRent letting and it’s been great so far. I found some tenants, and they put on a holding deposit. I paid for referencing. All is good.

However, I have been letting for 20 years and have a system already - I pay for legal advice, including contracts. I use DPS rather than mydeposits. I am a solicitor and feel able to manage the let myself.

Do I have to use open rent’s Rent Now? Am I tied in now the tenants have paid the holding deposit to them?

You dont have to use Rent Now. I just use Openrent for advertising and referencing.
