Hi All
I have recently rented my property with an agent ( fully managed ).
The agent has taken the tennant’s deposit to hold in their own account and subsequently charged me a fee for doing so which l am not at all happy about.
Is this normal practice ? Or am l making something out of nothing here.?
Thanks in advance for any input others may wish to add.
Depends of the fee amount. Deposit schemes require a fee themselves for non custodial/insured deposit protection (around £20). So the agent would have to pay that.
Agent will get the interest also.
The price of using agents.
