Yes. The regulations being put on good Landlords are getting out of hand. I have been lucky, or perhaps we have chosen our tenants well, but one bad tenant has potential to cause very substantial losses.
My daughter is in process of selling her BTL after her last tenant moved away, and she is going to use the profits on the sale to pay off her mortgage on her own home.
We don’t have mortgages on our 2 BTLs and over the years got better at choosing tenants , so we will sick in the game for another few years.
