I want ask about pay security deposit
because i tried to pay full deposit, but the a mount was one week rent
and the system said that:
|Rent Amount **(first month due after contract signing)*|£1170.00 Per Month
(£270.00 per week)|
|Deposit (due after contract signing)|£1,170.00|
and the landlord request deposit before reference and before signing contract

You are getting confused between a “holding deposit”, (which is a maximum of one weeks rent) and a “security deposit”, (which is a maximum of 5 weeks rent). The holding deposit is just to reserve the place for you and stop the landlord considering other tenants. The security deposit is something that you will pay at the start of the tenancy as a security against any damage or unpaid rent.
