Deposits and rent in advance

i am looking for a 1/2 bedroom property in kirriemuir, scotland, must dss,why is it that a person , on dss needs to pay hundreds,i think there should be more help for dss ppl, to be able to rent, the deposit should be enough,as the rent gets back dated,

backdated rent. If you were a landlord you would not say that. The reason you may struggle to find a place is because the goverment now pay the rent direct to the tenant ,not the landlord. The local councils many years ago sold off all their cheap housing stock that did not help

that is only ppl on universal credit, not esa,in scotland we get the option for the rent to be paid direct to the landlord, so the will be paid from date of entry,so if i give a landlord,a deposit and first month rent, they should be,giving it back as soon as the council have sorted the rent, its so hard to get all the funds on dss , in scotland, landlords should know this
