Tenant is currently 7 days late what the rent and has not answered two emails. They were supposed to set up a standing order and tol me they had. What are my options now?
Make sure you communicate with them as laid down in your agreement. I suspect this would be via post or email. Have you tried that? You could send the email via a service such as Rmail, which will provide you proof of delivery for your email at no cost.
If this is the first rental payment, I would be knocking on the door now.
should be at least the second seeing as how they should have paid the first when they got the keys…
remind them that, as per the contract they signed, their home is at risk if they should continue a) to not pay rent and b) not respond to your polite requests for communication.
