It is hard to give a correct answer without much more information and seeing the correspondence. Citizens Advice team might be a helpful place to ask.

At the time your partner moved in, was a new tenancy agreement signed? The situation doesn’t sound correct at all . Has a section 21 been issued ?

There was a signed agreement from her once i moved out but was told this is called a handover but this clashes with the timeframe what i signed there for exact same date she is at the end of section 21 and supposedly court proceedings have started but the landlord is trying to increase rent aswell just dosent make sense what is the timeframe for courts ect and what information does a landlord need to provide as he has been a very dodgy landlord pretending to be a plumber not keeping up with electrical certificates over years we got the 1st section 21 removed as environmental health condemed the back wall and there wasnt a active electrical certificate bare in mind all this has happened because in December she complained about the propertys conditions and was told that would all be fixed in new year but in January section 21 come through

It sounds like a fairly jumbled up situation. As suggested above some legal guidance from a specialist solicitor or CAB may be needed.

I think i may have to but didnt want to go strait down legal route if there was no reason if you no what i mean
