Openrent's deposit scheme

Next month, a tenant will be leaving my property and a tenant of a nearby property is keen to move in.

For convenience, I may use openrent for the referencing, AST, plus checking all my ducks are in order before anyone moves in.

Is the fact that Openrent’s deposit scheme is now an insured one simply a minor detail?

Any thoughts please?

It’s a personal thing. Some will dislike. I’ve not had to claim from a deposit since the change, so don’t know how efficient the process will be.

There’s only 3 schemes for deposits. OR use MyDeposits. They just act as an agent.
