My very nice new potential tenant’s guarantor is abroad re a serious family issue and has therefore not completed the reference form. I have been asked to reference a different guarantor now . Can I pass on the cost for this?
I believe it’s still a prohibited fee.
I had the same situation. Open Rent will refund the fee’s if you cancel the referencing before the guarantor has provided all of the info. Mine came through the next day.
