I have two tenants come through on DSS. They are new in the country and don’t really have a credit history. Can the referencing be done on the guarantor instead of them? And will it be ok with the insurance. Thanks
I have tenants who have failed referencing for various reasons and have needed to ask for a guarantor.
Providing the guarantor passes checks, this is fine for insurance.
I do make a habit of referencing the tenants even if I know they will fail, referencing isn’t that expensive, and you’ll be surprised what information comes up in addition to finances.
