I’ve only needed the deposit in full twice, both times it has been handed over to me uncontested.
Was it over non-payment or rent? That’s the category of claims that have the highest rate of success.
In my case it was due to damaged carpets and unauthorised (and terribly executed) painting that had to be fixed. But the tenants didn’t object.
