I have a dilemma and thinking what to do!
I have a tenant of over 10years and there was a drain blockage and I attended with drain man and the bill was £286 and eventually the tenant paid but it came to light that they had been in Spain for three months !leaving their 21and 19year old sons in charge .! To say I wasn’t happy was a understatement.
They are currently paying £1095 and the agent has said the property could get 1350 easily in this climate.
There have been other tenant related problems and I would like to refurb the property soon.
Is it a good time if any to give a tenant notice ?
Why not just talk to the tenants to say it’s not ok, and increase the rent?
