When to ask for References

As a new landlord I would like some advice on when to ask for references and do credit checks etc. Should they be done after a viewing or beforehand?

Only when youve selected someone. My sequence is:

  1. Short telephone interview to filter
  2. Viewing with further questions
  3. Application form
  4. Referencing

Hi . Filling out form for reference check for the first time . My prospective tenants don’t have Uk mobiles ( moving from France) so my reference check form won’t let me proceed to checkout.
Is there anyway around this ?
