Allowable expenses during void period

I have just unfortunately had a void period of 4 months. I am a private landlord with only one property. During the void period I had to do a lot of maintenance which I know counts as allowable expenses against my rental income for tax purposes (no ‘improvements’, just patching up wear and tear after a 3 year tenancy and replacing a broken appliance). However, does anyone know if my service charge during a void period is also tax deductible? I suspect not but can’t see an obvious answer online.
Thanks in advance.

Your service charge and council tax is still deductable during a void period and water rate elec and gas . My accountant puts it all down . Also membership of NLA. advertising, any labour you pay for.

Thanks Colin - useful to know that’s what your accountant does.
