Amended contract removed guarantor and now needs signing

neither the tenant or myself can sign the contract . when we go to click the sign here it comes up saying contract signed!!! its not acceptable that we cant get hold of a human voice ! to deal with this

i need this paper work signed asap.

I’ve signed two successfully in the last three days, so the system is working. When you log into your dashboard, as landlord does the contract show as being sent?

Have you received an email from openrent saying the contact has been sent for signature?

Have you received the email saying everybody else has signed & It’s now your turn as landlord? If not, they haven’t signed?

Issue was due to a change - I received email to say sign but would not let the tenant sign and until tenant signs I am not able to sign - they had to resend a link.

It’s sorted now but not being able to speak to a human drives me insane!

Thanks

@Walji_S_Property_Com but you knew OR don’t have a tel. contact when you chose to use them right?

If you want a similar online platform but with a human account Mgr contact able by phone, use helloneighbour instead.

Best

Yes but the digital version was failing and no way to sort it ! Thanks ! matter has now been sorted.

please can I get guidance on how to remove a co tenant, I can proceed alone, and have passed my referencing. Prospective landlord is an older gentleman so not as tech savy to make the changes, but happy for me to proceed. Didnt realise OR doesnt have a phone line so sent a message. Any ways I can do this from my end.

If you mean to remove a joint tenant from an appliocation process, then the LL can easily do this from his Openrent portal. He should ask someone to help him do this if he isnt tech savy. If he cant do this, he really should not be self-managing.

Just wanted to mention…being older (how old?) does not necessarily make a person non-tech savvy.

@Folake1 think the LL has to do this under ‘manage tenancy’ then scroll down to ‘amend contract’. @mod_emma or @mod_harry can advise the LL.

If you will be the remaining tenant he should re do the referencing to confirm you can afford the full amount on your own.

Meanwhile you and other tenant will remain severally liable for the rent and the tenancy continues.

Good luck

I never put my trust in other systems or people when I am able to do it myself.
