It sounds as though this landlord or property manager would like to set up the tenancy away from OpenRent? That in itself is completely fine, and plenty of landlords will have their own tenancy agreement and ways of paying deposits that are legitimate. However, we cannot guarantee the safety of your funds or the validity of your tenancy agreement if it’s set up away from OpenRent.
