Changing of lead tenant in an active contract

Hi,
I am a landlord and the fixed term tenancy is going to finish this month. The lead tenancy is fine with replacing his name with a friend of him so that tenancy can roll over to another fixed term and continue without having to create a new contract, deal with deposit etc.

Assuming all parties involved are fine with changing the lead tenant, what’s the process involved in OPENRENT to make it happen?

And, what all information is needed from the new lead tenant?

Please can someone guide me on this?

Are you saying one tenant is leaving, and another moving in? If so, new tenancy required.

As above, if a tenant is leaving you need a new tenancy, which means a simultaneous deed of surrender with the old group and a all new documents with the new group. Make dure you do a checkout inspection and deal with the deposit separately. The alternatjve is a deed of assignment, but its easy to get that wrong and cause problems, and you still have the deposit to deal with.
