Openrent will collect first rent and deposit until the tenant moves in and confirm to openrent that they are satisfied with the state of the property. Openrent will deduct their management fee of £10.00 before transferring the balance into the bank account you provided. However, you can decide for the subsequent payment to be made directly into your bank account. With the help of openrent, the deposit will be process by a deposit company.
Have I missed something or have OpenRent sneaked in another fee unannounced?? The first months rent was always transferred with no charge; landlords then choose whether to use the rent collection service at £10 per month?
Unless something has changed recently, I’m not sure you have missed anything. I think @Josephine4 is wrong. The £10 is the fee for rent collection, and the security deposit and 1st months rent have never attracted this fee for RentNow.
