Deposit and ending tenancy early

Hi all, just a quick question that someone may have had before. Myself and my landlord have agreed to end my tenancy early due to a few issues, this is all amicable on both sides. The landlord ended the tenancy for end of January on Open Rent to give me a couple of months to find somewhere else. I have now found somewhere and move in a couple of days. My question is can the end date be brought forward (no rent arrears) so the deposit can also be released at the same time? Landlord had a look and wasnt sure if this could be done.

This is totally up to you and the landlord. If you agree the tenancy ends today, it can end today.

If you don’t agree, then the terms of the notice apply. Did the landlord give you notice in writing in the correct form, or have you given them notice of your intention to end the contract?
