My tenant has left my once immaculate flat in a dreadful state.He has smoked constantly and everything is covered in nicotine.It has had to be cleaned and walls sealed to prevent the nicotine from seeping out again.Sll carpets and flooring have had to be removed and every surface including lighting spoilt.Tge guarantor has already paid money towards the extensive work involved but does not cover costs incurred.My agent is trying to claim the deposit too,but I have not got it after one month.We have many photos proving the extent of the damage
Did you have any clause in the contract about NOT smoking indoors
Put your claim to DPS
If no response from tenant go to statutory declaration
