Hi, I’m wondering if anyone has gone through this or something similar.
So here it is
I’ve been living in this private rent for just over 4 years
Rent paid every month by uc directly to landlord
So they decided to sell the property, which it happened apparently. People came to view etc they put an offer in the landlord accepted.
I think they ended up pulling out as the section 21 handed to myself was never correct and valid.
She applied for court again but under section 8 of rent arrears and nowhere else to live, both are lies
I have statements from uc every month proof of payment and she has houses handed down to her that she is currently residing in.
Does anyone have an experience any suggestion of what will happen on this court date and can anyone ease my mind, it christmas in a couple of months and I am so heartbroken for my little boy that we might be homeless by then.
I’ve been put on anti depressions & sent to counciling as I’m struggling mentally with it all
S8 means there will be a court case, where I assume her claim will be thrown out. She will keep trying and will eventually get it right. You have plenty of time so I suggest you either start looking for a new property at your leisure or speak to the Council about what will happen when you become homeless.
Hey, my court case is tomorrow. I’ve been to council already they told me to stay in property until eviction date by the judge. I’ve been biding every week since the start of it all
Telling you to stay put is exactly why landlords must not trust the word of the local council
I get it I really do but another private rent is way too expensive. I do work to but I just cannot simply afford to put an extra £500\£600 towards it a month
Sadly, you just have to follow the Councils instructions as its the only way they will help you.
How is a Eviction notice usually delivered is it By Hand, As im suffering anti social behaviour and someone was here yesterday to Serve the disgusting neighbours some Papers, I’m hoping it’s there Eviction Papers.
Not sure ifits by hand or what the notice would be but yes notices should always be hand delivered
Is it possible to lower your standards and expectations of what you can now get privately ?
As a matter of interest, what was the outcome of the court case ?
I’m hoping it’s the Eviction notice for him then, As he said he needs to Serve some papers hand delivered them, Either way it’s something serious, I’ll be glad to see the back of him
So the judge gave the eviction notice I have to be out by the end of next month.
Another private is not possible as they are way to expensive
I’m guessing if you don’t leave the bailiffs will come and Private rent is expensive it’s around £650pm for a 1 bedroom where I live, Then bills on top, it’s outrageous
Yeah I’ve told them I’m not waiting for baliffs I have Crohn’s disease and that’s already flaring up due to this & then a child on top so I’ll rather not wait for a bailiffs my area private now for a 2 bed is £1200+ it’s ridiculous
Thank the labour government for freezing benefits so you can’t afford private housing …….
Hi sorry to hear you’re going through this too!
I’m literally going through the same thing right now
I have rented the property I’m in for 5 years and I pay my landlord the rent myself every month. I’ve never been late paying and have a glowing reference off my current landlord… but due to being on UC you get indirectly discriminated against. Your judged the second you tell them you are on UC.
I have ulcerative colitis so can understand you when you say about the flare ups…I’ve never been this stressed in my life.I have 3 children two of which are 19 and 17. Also an 11 year old.
I’ve had so many break downs over this situation and it’s really affecting my kids. I might have to be moved into emergency accommodation for Xmas if I don’t find somewhere fast. I can’t look at my kids without feeling guilty and that I’m letting them down by not being able to provide them with the most basic need. Its sad and you come to realise that not many people care.
