Hi - My tenant asked me recently to get a chimney sweep in to check what was causing debris to come down the flute. To me it looked as though a bird or animal had disturbed the area causing a few bits to fall down. My partner thinks my tenant should deal with this, the same way she has to get a window cleaner in etc but I’m not sure where I should stand on this. Nothing in my contract seems to make it clear and it’s not written in as a standard clause.
The fire is a gas btw - not a real one…
Any thoughts?
