Its an impossible question to answer, as we don’t know if there are better potential tenants out there that we aren’t reaching through openrent. Maybe the others are worse! I generally find acceptable tenants, but it is a 1 in 50 ratio, one good tenant per 50 enquiries. Openrent could do more in filtering out the people who simply aren’t serious, e.g. the ones that don’t bother answering any screening questions should not be counted, then the ratio would be more like 1 in 10 or even 1 in 5, and then from landlord perspective we’d think it was great.

The last property I listed took 100 applicants before I got an acceptable tennant, the amount of lying, trying to cheat and downright unacceptable people astonished me.

No results are showing, looks like faulty poll system?

It is a long time since I used openrent to find a tenant but whether you find a tenant yourself, use OR or an agent you still get the the liars chancers or unsuitables in similar proportions/percentages

This poll won’t help as we cannot determine what platform the enquiry actually originates from. So how can we say they are good quality or not? It could come from Rightmove, Zoopla or Openrent itself, how would we know? (Are properties even listed anywhere else now? when they were listed on gumtree I had some right rubbish enquiries!)
