I then learn that the referencing isn’t paid for by myself according to this website and I’ve been conned along with 12 other people who didn’t have a credit score of at least 500+. £144 a go has made this landlord a tidy profit.
It is illegal for a landlord to take a holding deposit from more than one person so assuming they refuse to refund yours to you, report them to the Police and ensure that they are banned from using Openrent.
