Good evening,
I own a flat at the ground floor of an ~11 flats building. My tenants contacted me to warn me of water damage appearing on the ceiling of the bedroom. My plumber visited and confirmed there is a leak coming from above (flat above or area between the 2 flats): water has ultimately created a crack in the concrete between the flats and liquid is leaking down through that and damaging my flat.
I initially raised this to the owner of the flat above who could not find any visible leak sources in his flat. He then rechecked and still could not.
Last Friday (3 January) I raised this to the management company of the building who still has not initiated any investigation.
Could you please share your views on this and next potential steps from my side? I would say the current contract also ends in April and hence realtively soon I will need to start looking for new tenants: water damage to the bedroom is clearly going to cause a problem unless addressed.
Many thanks for your help
