Listing Ads Application - Monthly Rent cannot be more than £8333?

Hello!

This is my first time to use OpenRent.

I am from Landlord side and would like to apply for a listing ads application, but when I inserted the monthly rent which is more than £10000, a warning message popped up saying that the cap is £8333.33.

May I know if monthly rent which is more than £8333.33 cannot enjoy the service of OpenRent to list the property in Rightmove & Zoopla ?

Look forward to receiving your advice as I wish to list the property ASAP. Million thanks!!!

first world problems

You are better off asking Openrent directly as I am guessing that most landlords on this forum are unlikely to have encountered this problem. I wasn’t aware of a limit on monthly rental, only the limit on the amount for advanced rent. For rent as high as that, I would probably use a specialist agency rather than Openrent.

It’s an anti money laundering issue. Openrent would have to verify your ID (in the same way as a bank would) if rent is more than £8,333.33.

I believe that the max an AST can be is £100k per year. I don’t think this is an openrent rule I think it may be law

Just googled this and that correct, it is law. Learn something new every day
