One tenant leaves and has trashed her room

I have a situation where one tenant has fallen out with the other two over hygiene issues. This tenant has now left but her lack of hygiene meant mice became a problem and her room is a wreck. I want to make a claim just against just the one tenant who has left as her room needed
some work and a new carpet. The rodent problem has gone since she left. Openrent tell me I cannot make a claim just against her as the tenants are on the same tenancy agreement. This seems wrong that the remaining two will potentially lose some of their deposit and they are still in the property. Can anyone advise what I can do?

Make the deduction . The purpose of joint and severally liable is purely for this reason to protect you against damage

Leave the tenants to fight it out amongst themselves
I had a similar issue
All tenants lost their deposit ( which didn’t cover the extent of damage ) and the better tenants lost money to cover the third’s damages
Your priority is you

If its a joint tenancy, she cant just leave the tenancy individually. The tenants are effectively one indivisable unit.

er… so who’s paying her rent? They’re all liable for it.
