Ooking for a New Home – £1,500 to £1,650

Hi everyone,

My mom and I are looking for a house, flat, or apartment near North Greenwich (or nearby areas) as I work there and my current commute is a bit much. Budget is £1,500–£1,650 pcm.

About us:

  • Combined annual income: £50.5k

  • One works full-time, the other is on DSS/Universal Credit due to health reasons

  • Clean, respectful tenants who take care of our home

  • Can provide a guarantor (earns £27–28k annually — unfortunately we have no one else)

Ideally, we’re after a two-bedroom property with both rooms being a good size — big enough for at least a double bed and a wardrobe. My current room doesn’t have a window because the intended bedroom is so tiny it’s only really suitable for a toddler, so we’d like to avoid anything too small this time. As it’s affecting me mentally not having a window. I can’t even see the sun

We’ve been told by our letting agency that in three months they’ll be de-instructing our landlord due to his ongoing lack of response on repairs and ongoing stress.

We’d like to move before then, as if it’s this bad now with an agency, it will likely be worse with him managing directly.

We’re just looking for a well-kept home without damp or mould, where we can feel settled. Happy to provide references, proof of income, and guarantor details.

Thanks in advance!
