I’m a long term tenant on regular disability and housing benefit I have took care of this house for over 4 years for it to be sold by my landlord whom lives in Dubai and he has provided me no documentation in any way. He is saying so but no tenancy in place hasn’t resigned in 2 years despite me asking and there surveyor coming weds it’s looking like he getting ready to evict me and there’s nothing I can do been in touch with shelter and housing solutions and citizens advice I been everywhere
You will have a tenancy in place. They do not need to be re-signed. The last one you did sign will still be in place, even if its expired. It would have rolled into a periodic tenancy.
The new Landlord (or their solicitor) should issue a notice to you to tell you they now own the property. Presumably someone has been in touch, if a surveyor has been / is coming. That must have been arranged with someone.
Try not to worry too much. The new Landlord cannot evict you overnight, and you’ll have at least 2 months notice, and have time to consult with Shelter etc.
I have had conversations already with shelter and with housing solutions they can not help till eviction in place which I can’t afford a move I put everything into going private and doing this place up for him to do this I have also been told I might have to give up my dog 6 if I need emergency housing I’m gonna end up homeless or in some dump at 44 and the surveyor comin Wednesday but if sale falls through he’s told me he just gonna evict and sell to anyone I know I can dig my feet in and get a cpl o months but that just delays inevitable Karl I’m really stuck
Speak to your MP and let them know that their legislation is calling real time problems
Thankyou for taking the time to respond but as long as local mp got a bed and a house they don’t care besides takes over a month to even get hold of one and my landlord who is English but is in Dubai only contactable by phone which is great for him but I have no address to forward things to not even an email he’s got me stuck because he’s abroad and a millionaire not much I can do or I really wouldn’t be on here I have tried every viable option and if landlords knew what I had been through well …. Let’s just say my story could win xfactor without needing talent ….

Sorry to hear that. You are correct that the various agencies won’t see you as a priority until you have an eviction order… As far as they are concerned, Yiu have a home.
The new owner are within their rights to sell even when the Renter’s Rights bill comes into effect
The best you can do is to start looking at alternative accommodation..I know this can be difficult in your situation.
