Re-advertising after prospective tenant pulls out

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone could advise me on this:

*Prospective tenant views property and puts holding deposit down on the same day - referencing sent to individual
*This obviously cancels any further viewings that had been scheduled
*Referencing contacts them four days in a row to no avail
*I contact them via whatsapp and they inform me that they are no longer going ahead with the property

I have obviously raised this via OpenRent for the holding deposit and they have until the 10th to respond. I now want to re-advertise the property immediately - the only way I can guess how to do this is press ‘cancel application’ which would then interfere with the holding deposit issue?

Any advice is appreciated

You need to speak to Openrent about this. I have no idea how their system for taking holding deposits works and whether its compliant with the Tenant Fees Act requirements. If it is, then you may be able to retain the holding deposit to compensate for lost time.
