Just checking in to see if the section 21 is valid as I am told the dates need to be exactly 2 months, not 1 month and 30 days.
Section 21 served on 7th May and ends 6th July, I am told it is invalid as the date needs to be 7th July and court proceedings can commence on 8th July, can anyone confirm this?

Legal counsel will always advise give the tenant an extra week
Courts don’t look favourably on just two months ( delays in service etc)

Yes, its a day short as 7th May had already begun when you served and you are therefore short of the 2 month minimum period. Incidentally, if you serve the notice by post you must add at least a couple of days for postage.
